LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Lady Gaga released the single "Perfect Illusion" on Friday, her first solo song in over three years.

Gaga shared clips from the song and the upcoming video on her social media, with Thursday's Instagram snippet racking up over 350,000 views just hours before the song's release.

"Perfect Illusion" is the first solo song Gaga's released since 2013's Artpop album, which featured the songs "Applause," "G.U.Y.," and "Do What U Want," featuring R. Kelly.

Gaga worked with Diane Warren on the 2015 anthem "Till It Happens to You," for the documentary The Hunting Ground which focuses on the subject of campus rape. The song earned Gaga an Oscar nomination.

She also collaborated with legendary singer Tony Bennett on the 2014 album Cheek to Cheek, which won a Grammy for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
