LOS ANGELES, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Candace Cameron Bure is switching up her signature look.
The 40-year-old actress showed off her new bob haircut in an Instagram post over Labor Day weekend.
"So this just happened! #shorthairdontcare Thank you @blay.locks for the fresh cut," she captioned a photo of her short new 'do.
Bure previously wore her tresses several inches past her shoulders. Her longtime stylist Daniel Blaylock told E! News he gave the star "a graduated, textured bob with a deep side part."
"Candace's bone structure not only looks great with longer hair, but she can effortlessly transition into a short cut because of her strong jawline and gorgeous profile," Blaylock said.
"She loved how healthy her hair felt, how effortless it looks, and the movement in the cut," he added. "The maintenance will not be as extreme with a cut like this, and that will work even better for her schedule."
Bure returned as a co-host on The View Season 20 on Tuesday. She is also slated to reprise D.J. Tanner on the Netflix series Fuller House, which was renewed for a second season in March.
"We have some amazing cameos this year," the actress said of Season 2 to Pop Sugar in June. "Just because Season 1 did so incredibly well, there are a lot of people that are really excited to be a part of this show."
