LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Beauty and the Beast fans got a first look at Emma Watson and Dan Stevens in Disney's new sneak peak trailer for the upcoming live-action film.

In the video posted to YouTube, Watson and Stevens are seen at a table read for the film, rehearsing lines as Belle and the Beast.

"I was so excited to hear that Disney was thinking about doing a live-action version of Beauty and the Beast," said the film's director Bill Condon. "When something is so perfect, why get near it? The answer is technology has caught up to the ideas that were introduced in that movie."

The sneak peak gives a more in-depth look at some of the film's scenery and at two of its most beloved characters, Lumiére and Cogsworth, voiced by Ewan McGregor and Sir Ian McKellen.

The film is slated to premiere in theaters on March 17, 2017.
