LOS ANGELES, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Florence and The Machine collaborated with Tim Burton for the song "Wish That You Were Here" on the soundtrack for Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, which premieres in September.

"Wish That You Were Here" is a wistful ballad and full of the drama that fans of Florence and The Machine have come to expect.

The haunting lyrics reflect the tone of the film about a time-traveling boy who travels back in time to an orphanage for children with special powers.

"To be where you are/But even closer to you, you seem so very far," singer Florence Welch sings. The song is available for digital download Friday.

The film, directed by Burton and starring Eva Green, Samuel L. Jackson, Allison Janney and Judi Dench, arrives in theaters Sept. 30.
