NEW YORK, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Actress and singer Taraji P. Henson is trying her hand at cosmetics.
The 45-year-old Empire star confirmed in an Instagram post Tuesday that she will launch a makeup collection with M.A.C. Cosmetics in September.
"So excited to share this! My @MACcosmetics collection is coming! Online & at select stores in Sept. #MACTaraji #VirgoSeason," she captioned a promo for the collaboration.
Henson's collection will include a liquid eyeliner, a bronzer, a highlighter, a lipstick and mascara, according to People magazine. M.A.C. had announced the collaboration earlier in the day.
"Taraji P. Henson has won the world over with her fearless performances, powerhouse confidence and charismatic spark," the company lauded. "We're thrilled to announce she is joining forces with M.A.C. for an upcoming collaboration!"
Henson, who plays Cookie Lyon on Empire, is known for her bold looks on the Fox musical drama. She shared beauty secrets from the show with Elle in 2015, saying makeup helps her "instantly transform" into Cookie.
"Cookie wears intense eyes and lips to show her bold personality. She's much more fearless than I am," the star said.
Empire will return for a third season Sept. 21. The series co-stars Terrence Howard, Bryshere Y. Gray, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers and Grace Gealey.
