Melissa Benoist shares photo of Lynda Carter from 'Supergirl' set

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Supergirl Melissa Benoist posted a picture of herself with Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman, from the set of the CBS show.

Benoist shared the photo on Instagram Friday along with the caption, "Met a wonderful woman today," tagging Carter.

It was announced earlier this summer that Carter had signed on to play the President of the United States during Season 2.

Tyler Hoechlin is also joining the cast as Superman.

The new season of Supergirl starts Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
