STAMFORD, Conn., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- WWE Superstars Paige and Alberto Del Rio have been suspended for 30 days following a wellness policy violation.

"WWE has suspended Saraya-Jade Bevis (Paige) for 30 days effective Thursday, Aug. 18, for her first violation of the company's talent wellness policy," the company said in a statement Wednesday, the same day as Paige's 24th birthday.

WWE released a similar statement for Del Rio, real name Jose Rodriguez.

There is no information as to what could have led to the suspensions, however, notably, Paige and Del Rio are a couple outside the ring who have been dating throughout the year.

The 30-day suspension will leave the competitors unable to attend events surrounding WWE's flagship August event SummerSlam, when it takes place on Aug. 21.

Del Rio a four-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and two-time United States Champion was last seen Tuesday taking on John Cena in the main event of Smackdown Live!. Paige a two-time Divas Champion and star of Total Divas, was last seen on Raw in June in a tag team bout featuring Sasha Banks, Charlotte and Dana Brooke.

The pair are the biggest names in WWE to be suspended following Roman Reigns in June who was also put on the sideline for 30 days.

According to WWE, the talent wellness program is used to address the health and well-being of its talent and is "administered independently by world renowned medical professionals and includes cardiovascular testing, ImPACTT, testing for brain function, substance abuse and drug testing, annual physicals, and health care referrals."
