NEW YORK, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- WWE 2K17 cover star Brock Lesnar has called out retired Superstar and former rival Goldberg in a new promotional clip.

"I've got a special message for @Goldberg regarding #WWE2K17," Lesnar wrote on Twitter Monday alongside a video featuring himself and his advocate, Paul Heyman.

"I think everyone should stand up and applaud Bill Goldberg for being a supporting player in the video game that stars, The Beast, The Conqueror, Brock Lesnar!" Heyman says while Lesnar looks on menacingly.

"Hey Bill, you're next," Lesnar then responds, mocking Goldberg's signature catch-phrase. The video hints that perhaps the two wrestling behemoths will confront each other during the lead up to the game's release.

Goldberg was announced as a playable character for those who pre-order WWE 2K17 back in May. The title is set to arrive on Oct. 11 for the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Recently, WWE head honchos the McMahon family were announced as joining the roster of playable characters along with news that rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs would be handling the game's soundtrack.

Previously, Lesnar and Goldberg collided at WrestleMania 20 in 2004 in a match that is infamous for its poor quality. The two competitors who were on their way out from WWE at the time, were booed by fans inside Madison Square Garden throughout the bout and were given Stone Cold Stunners from special referee Stone Cold Steve Austin for their efforts.
