LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Justin Bieber is being linked to model Sofia Richie. The 22-year-old singer and Richie, the 17-year-old daughter of Lionel Richie and sister to Nicole Richie, headed to Tokyo together Wednesday following several other outings this month.

Bieber and Richie were spotted boarding a private plane at Van Nuys Airport. The singer will perform Saturday and Sunday in Chiba, Japan, as part of his Purpose tour.
The pair first sparked dating rumors with a playful outing Friday in Laguna Beach. They appeared at one point to be holding hands and were seen on a hike in the Hollywood hills the next day. Richie was also spotted leaving Bieber's home Tuesday morning.
Sources told Us Weekly the pair are "casually" seeing each other but denied the romance is anything "more" for now. Insiders told E! News the stars are "just friends."
Bieber was last linked to friend and model Hailey Baldwin following a longtime on-again, off-again relationship with singer Selena Gomez. Baldwin is now rumored to be dating rapper Drake.
"I've known him for a long time. I don't know if people really know that. I've known him for about, like, four years," she said of Drake to E! News in June. "He's a great friend."
Bieber released his fourth studio album, Purpose, in November and will bring his accompanying tour to a close Nov. 29 in London. Richie signed to a modeling agency in 2014 and was named the face of Madonna's Material Girl line the next year.
