STAMFORD, Conn., Aug. 10 (UPI) -- WWE Superstar and Tag Team champion Kofi Kingston has detailed the challenges of voice acting while appearing on WWE's new Scooby-Doo animated feature.

"You have to be animated with your voice. A lot of the context I was given with the lines, I didn't actually see or know what was going on. They would kind of tell me, and I would have to kind of put myself in that situation and really be a bit more emotional with my voice," Kingston said of working on the just released Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon in an interview with Channel Guide Magazine.

"In WWE, I can express emotions without even saying a word," he continued noting how he has an easier time acting inside the squared circle. "I can show you I'm feeling pain on my face by making a certain facial or even show how I feel by the movements that I'm doing. It was a bit challenging in that aspect to envision myself in the role of this character and convey emotions that way."

Still, Kingston mentioned how enjoyable the experience was and would contemplate taking on more voice work in the future. "It was a lot of fun. Everyone was really cool. It was a different experience. I think when it's all said and done with my wrestling career I would definitely like to get in some voiceover work. This is a good taste of what it would be like. So I'm in for sure."

Scooby-Doo! and WWE: Curse of the Speed Demon, released Tuesday, features Kingston and his fellow WWE Superstars Triple H, Paige and Sheamus and The Undertaker as they take on an evil phantom named Inferno.

"When Scooby and the gang attend an off-road racing competition, the last thing they expect is to stumble upon a menacing phantom. However, before they can say "ruh-roh," things take a turn for the worse, as Inferno schemes to sabotage the race and cause chaos for everyone," notes the official description.

Outside of Scooby-Doo, Kingston continues to defend his WWE Tag Team Championship alongside his New Day partners Xavier Woods and Big E. The positive trio recently had their comedic cereal Booty O's released due to high fan demand.

The originally fictional breakfast item was used by The New Day on their t-shirts and mentioned to their competitors as something they needed to eat in order to not be "Booty."

"It's has been crazy because when we first started out as a group we had a hard time getting approval to do things," Kingston said of the group's early days whom fans despised. No with the cereal actually out, Kingston can't believe how far they have come.

"There was no actual cereal. Everyone was wondering where the cereal was, so now there has been enough demand that it's out now. It's been a wild ride with these guys. Our journey from being questioned of what we were dong to being hated and despised by the WWE Universe to now people buying our BootyO's flavored cereal. It's crazy."
