LOS ANGELES, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson took to social media Sunday to slam Power creator and executive producer Courtney Kemp for inserting a nude scene featuring the rapper into the latest episode.
"Man I just saw episode 4 of Power. Courtney I'm a kill you, this is not funny," Jackson who is also an executive producer and star on the hit drama wrote on Instagram Sunday about how his penis is exposed during a sex scene.
"Don't kiss my cheek, kiss my [expletive]," the rapper continued in a now deleted Instagram post that featured Kemp kissing the rapper on the cheek. "This is not funny. Tell the people from STARZ stop calling my phone, you call now. I don't give a [expletive] if you on a plane [expletive]."
Kemp responded confidently on Instagram noting that Jackson knew what he was getting himself into and agreed to appear nude. "Ghost must die and @50cent must lie because you knew what we were shooting during 404," she wrote referencing characters from the show before noting, "You signed the waiver like everybody else."
The social media spat could have been a promotional stunt, however, as before the episode aired, Jackson and Temp appeared together to discuss the nude scene and how sex is used on Power in order to move the narrative forward.
"My penis is going to debut!" Jackson joked while speaking with TV Guide where he also compared the moment to his version of a sex tape.
"We don't put a sex scene in unless it pushes story forward," Kemp noted shortly afterwards about how sex on the series serves a purpose. "In broadcast TV, people start to kiss and then you cut and go to commercial. You didn't need to see the sex. That the people had sex was the story point. The sex in our show -- the actual sexual act and what happens to those people during the sexual act -- we always show it so you have to see the sex. It's about what story is being pushed forward by the sexual act," she continued.
Power airs Sundays at 9/8 c on Starz.
