BEERWAH, Australia, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Terri Irwin says she hasn't dated in the decade since husband Steve Irwin died.

The 52-year-old naturalist revealed as much in the September issue of Australian Women's Weekly while reflecting on the late Crocodile Hunter and his legacy.

"I haven't gone on a single date since Steve died," she said. "If I hadn't met Steve, I probably would have never married because I wasn't looking for love when I met him."

The Irwins married in Terri's hometown of Eugene, Ore., in 1992 after a year of dating and welcomed their first child, daughter Bindi Irwin, in 1998. A son, Robert Irwin, followed in 2003.

"I think I've had my happily ever after," Terri said of her reluctance to date in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in October.

"I still feel immense love and loyalty to Steve," she explained. "I've got great kids. I've got a very full life, and while I'm lonely for Steve, I'm not a lonely person."

Steve died at age 44 in 2006 after a stingray barb pierced his chest. Bindi paid tribute to her late dad on her 18th birthday in July while reflecting on her family's "unconditional love" on Instagram.

"Since this photo was taken, 18 years ago, one life ingredient has remained, unchanged, unbreakable. That is the unconditional love that is shared between my beautiful little family and the loyalty we have to each other," she wrote.

Terri continues to own and operate the Australia Zoo in Beerwah, Australia, which she co-owned with Steve. Steve's parents, Bob and Lyn Irwin, opened the zoo in 1970.
