LOS ANGELES, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Chloe Grace Moretz is tired of being described as "Brooklyn Beckham's girlfriend."
The 19-year-old actress vented about how her relationship with the 17-year-old model overshadows her career in the September issue of Glamour U.K.
"Seriously, you don't know how often I'm just described as 'his girlfriend,'" she told the magazine. 'And you think: 'Well, I've been acting for 13 years, but don't worry.'"
Moretz and Beckham, the eldest son of retired soccer star David Beckham and designer Victoria Beckham, were first linked in April. The couple have regularly made headlines since, in part due to public interest in the Beckhams.
"One of the reasons that dating him is great is that we both get what it means to have our lives twisted and torn apart and faked," the actress said.
Moretz cited Beckham as "a huge support" in a June interview with Elle. The model recently showed his support for Moretz and her projects by visiting her on set as she shot a video in New York.
"I don't need a man for anything, but when I'm feeling bad about myself, he's like, 'Stop. Look at what you say in interviews. Look at what you stand for. Listen to your own words, because you're as beautiful as you say you are!'" Moretz told Elle.
"It's nice to have a young man who's 17 years old be able to look at a woman that way," she said. "I think it means we're on the right track."
Moretz is known for such films as Kick-Ass, Let Me In and Carrie. She last starred in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and is slated for an adaptation of Susannah Cahalan's novel Brain on Fire.
