LOS ANGELES, July 29 (UPI) -- Supergirl creators have released a first look at Tyler Hoechlin's Superman.

Hoechlin, who fans know from the supernatural drama Teen Wolf, will put on the red cape for the second season of the show, which has since moved to The CW.

Hoechlin told fans at Comic-Con that he is taking his responsibility as the Man of Steel seriously.

"I know the character represents so much to so many people," he said. "There is a lot of responsibility with this character. I'm really excited."
