The 38-year-old actor recently proposed to boyfriend Joseph Bradley Phillips at a Starbucks in North Hollywood after more than a year of dating, People reported Monday.

Franzese, who first met Phillips at the same Starbucks, planned his proposal with one of the baristas. The employee called out the couple's order as "Mr. & Mr. Franzese" and handed Phillips a cup with the ring inside.

"Joseph has given me the best of his heart and I'm so happy he said yes," Franzese told the magazine. "Finding my soulmate has made all the years I struggled with myself worth it."

Franzese's rep told Us Weekly the star "knew right away" that Phillips was "the one." The feeling grew after Phillips spent his birthday feeding the homeless with the Greater West Hollywood Food Coalition.

"The fact that Joseph was so giving of his time to others and wanted to make a difference in other people's lives in a selfless manner showed his true colors to Daniel," the rep said. "At that point, he fell in love."
