LOS ANGELES, July 18 (UPI) -- Keshia Knight Pulliam is going to be a first-time mom.
The 37-year-old actress announced she's pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Ed Hartwell in an Instagram post Sunday.
"Surprise!!! We have a new addition coming soon... Tune into #KandidlyKeshia this week for the details!" she captioned a photo of herself with a pink-frosted cupcake.
Pulliam's friend Arian Simone shared a picture from the actress' baby shower the same day. She also revealed Pulliam and Hartwell are expecting a baby girl.
"I knew today was special when I woke up! I thought I was going to Keshia's for family dinner and to watch Power and was surprised with a baby reveal!" Simone wrote. "Congrats to @edhartwell & @keshiaknightpulliam on your new addition! So excited! #itsagirl."
Pulliam announced her marriage to Hartwell in January, less than a month after she and the former NFL player got engaged. Hartwell is already dad to 9-year-old Ed Jr. with ex-wife and former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Lisa Wu.
"We'll probably end up being like Bruce Willis and Demi Moore in their situation, you know, how you blend [families]," Wu told Hip Hollywood prior to Pulliam's pregnancy news. "My son is happy. He likes her, so that's all that matters."
Pulliam is best known for playing Rudy Huxtable on the NBC sitcom The Cosby Show. She later appeared on Tyler Perry's House of Payne and competed on The Celebrity Apprentice Season 7.
