NEW YORK, July 15 (UPI) -- Former Daily Show host Jon Stewart will appear on Monday's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to help his former colleague during the coverage of the Republican National Convention.
It has not been announced what role Stewart will play on the show or from where he will appear. It's also not known if he will appear during Colbert's coverage of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia the following week.
Colbert's show will reportedly have an "on-site presence" at the conventions, with Colbert likely to remain in his New York studio.
Stewart, originally worked with Colbert on The Daily Show from 1999 to 2005 before Colbert left for his own show, The Colbert Report. Stewart, however, remains an executive producer of The Late Show.
