LOS ANGELES, July 12 (UPI) -- Sofia Vergara celebrated her 44th birthday with family and friends Sunday. The Modern Family star rang in the occasion at a lemon-themed dinner party with husband Joe Manganiello and son Manolo Vergara in attendance.

Vergara posted several photos using custom lemon Snapchat filters and even donned a lemon costume at one point during the party. She and her guests enjoyed lemon-infused vodka cocktails and drinks from a limoncello bar.
"I thought I was not going to be in town," the actress told Extra ahead of the bash. "I organized something really fast last week, so it's just going to be, like, a dinner; it's not going to be that big or that crazy."
Vergara is also celebrating the release of her new fragrance, Tempting. The perfume launched Friday at BeautyCon in Los Angeles and will be available in Perfumania stores this month.
"This is my third fragrance," the star told Extra. "I thought it was the perfect thing, what I needed, because every woman needs a fragrance that is sexy, that makes her feel sexy and wanted and ready for action, whatever that is -- a party, a date, a business meeting, an event."
Vergara is best known for playing Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on Modern Family, which will return for an eighth season Sept. 21 on ABC. The actress is also slated for the movie The Brits Are Coming with Uma Thurman.
