NEW YORK, July 11 (UPI) -- Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Joe Perry collapsed just off the stage during a performance in New York Sunday night and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
The 65-year-old guitarist, a longtime member of Aerosmith, was in the middle of a concert with his side band, the Hollywood Vampires at New Ford Amphitheater in Brooklyn when fan's video appears to show Perry having to sit on the drum riser during a song. A few seconds later, he stops playing and stumbles off stage.
