LOS ANGELES, July 6 (UPI) -- Alexa Chung has taken to social media to mock boyfriend Alexander Skarsgard's The Legend of Tarzan diet.
"Human. Nature. #tarzan I spent 6 months eating high protein meals 5 times a day and suffering through hefty regular workouts to prepare for this Instagram. Unclear what the other guy did," the model wrote Tuesday on Instagram.
The photo shows Chung squinting up her nose to look meaner next to a poster of Skarsgard from the film.
Chung 32, and Skarsgard 39, were first linked in June of 2015.
Recently, the actor detailed his intense diet and workout regime for Tarzan.
"The first phase was three months of bulking up while I was wrapping up True Blood here in LA," he said, "so it was Tupperware [containers] with 7,000 calories a day -- steak and potatoes, that kind of stuff, and weight-lifting."
Skarsgard also talked about how he celebrated the end of filming the action-packed epic.
"So, when we wrapped the movie, my father [actor Stellan Skarsgard] was shooting River, this Netflix series in London at the time. I got in my car and went straight to his house, and my dad loves to cook, so I spent four days on his couch just being fed. It was the most incredible weekend of my life. It was just bone marrow, fried mozzarella, pasta, red wine. It was a good weekend."
The Legend of Tarzan is now in theaters.
