MALIBU, Calif., July 5 (UPI) -- Singer Miley Cyrus introduced the world to her newest puppy over the weekend, then spent Fourth of July with Liam Hemsworth. The 23-year-old pop star posted a photo of the new beagle, Barbie, on Instagram Saturday.

"Happy to introduce the newest member of my family Barbie," she wrote under the photo of her with the pup.
She included the hashtags #stopanimaltesting and #donttestonbeagles, the dog breed most commonly used for pharmaceutical testing, US Weekly reported.
"Sisterzzzz!!!! Barbie ❤️s Tani!!!!" she wrote, referring to her pit bull, Tani. The pop star went on to post another picture of Tani and Barbie snuggling in a dog bed with yet more hash tags, @stopbeagletesting and #loveaninalsdontharmthem.
Cyrus and the 26-year-old Hunger Games star Hemsworth reportedly shared a romantic evening Sunday at SoHo House in Malibu with Cyrus sporting the engagement ring Hemsworth gave her in 2012. The two were seen arriving at the private beach club, then leaving together in the same car.
