Claudia Jordan backtracks on comments that Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes are a couple

NEW YORK, June 22 (UPI) -- Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia Jordan backtracked Tuesday on what seemed to be a confirmation that Katie Holmes and her friend Jamie Foxx are a couple.

"I have no knowledge of Jamie with Katie at all," the reality star told Entertainment Tonight. "I've never seen them together, he's never told me he's dating her."

Jordan originally spoke out about the actors during a podcast on Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss. When asked about Foxx and Holmes, she replied, "He is very happy with her, so I like that he seems very happy."

On Tuesday, though, she walked it back, saying she "misspoke" about the A-list couple and has no first-hand knowledge that they are dating.

Rumors about Foxx and Holmes dating have been circulating for years, but in 2013, Foxx called the gossip just that and said the rumors were "100% not true," the Los Angeles Times reported.

In her statement to Entertainment Tonight, Jordan said, "A lot of times, I get asked questions about celebrities -- some I know, some I don't -- a lot of times we just give a safe kind of generic answer. Sorry to not have this bombshell story, but I cannot confirm them."
