The couple reconciled this year after ending their engagement in December.

LOS ANGELES, June 16 (UPI) -- Courteney Cox celebrated a "great" 52nd birthday with boyfriend Johnny McDaid on Wednesday.

The Friends actress was feeling the love after McDaid, the 39-year-old pianist and guitarist of Snow Patrol, shared a sweet message for her on Twitter.

"Wishing my beautiful @CourteneyCox the happiest birthday!" the singer captioned a photo of himself and Cox embracing.

Cox responded to the post by tweeting, "Thank you, my love!" She also thanked fans and friends for their posts and wished Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody a happy birthday of his own.

"Huge thank you to all those to took the time to wish me a happy birthday. It's been a great one!" she wrote. "Happiest birthday to @garysnowpatrol! Birthday buddies!"

Cox and McDaid first started dating in 2013 and got engaged the next year. The couple called off their engagement in December, but were officially reconciled when they attended the BMI Pop Awards together in May.

"I love her. I've always loved her," McDaid told E! News at the event.

"I don't know if you can put a label on what makes us work so well," he elaborated to Us Weekly. "But I know I've never loved like I love this woman. So if that's enough, then that's enough."

Cox is best known for playing Monica Gellar on the NBC sitcom Friends and has since starred as Jules Cobb on ABC/TBS series Cougar Town. McDaid and Snow Patrol last released Fallen Empires in 2011.
