LOS ANGELES, June 14 (UPI) -- Jordana Brewster and husband Andrew Form recently welcomed their second son.

The 36-year-old actress and 44-year-old producer welcomed a baby boy via surrogate on June 9, Brewster's rep confirmed to news outlets Monday.

Brewster and Form, who co-founded the Platinum Dunes production company with Michael Bay and Brad Fuller in 2001, married in 2007. The couple welcomed their first child, Julian, via surrogate in 2013.

"I needed to use a surrogate," Brewster told Yahoo! Parenting in October. "I didn't feel judged ... [but] sometimes I feel a little left out when moms talk about what their birth experience was like, and I feel the loss of not having carried or having been able to carry."

"In many ways, I feel lucky that I was able to be open [about using a surrogate]," she added. "There are so many women who are young and have to go through IVF and feel like they can't talk about it, and that's really unfortunate."

Brewster is known for playing Mia Toretto in the Fast and the Furious movies and will reprise the role in Fast 8. The busy mom will also portray Maureen "Mo" Cahill on Fox's series adaptation of Lethal Weapon.

"I think often times people don't talk about the fact that it's really, really hard to juggle," she previously told People. "What's so wonderful about motherhood is that you're constantly busy. There's so much to do and I don't miss idle time at all."
