LOS ANGELES, June 13 (UPI) -- Fan-favorite protagonist Clementine is back in developer Telltale Games first teaser trailer for their upcoming interactive adventure game sequel, The Walking Dead Season 3. The clip, released Sunday during the ongoing Electronic Entertainment Expo, features a decaying zombie devouring a nearby corpse before Clementine puts him out of his misery.

Notably, the heroine who appears much older then the last time she was seen in Season 2, is accompanied by a new character named Javier.
Speaking with IGN, Telltale's Job Stauffer and Laura Perusco confirmed that Javier would be playable alongside Clementine and will play an important role in the game.
"He's been through a lot and he is central to this story. He is absolutely important to what's going on," Stauffer said. "This is very much a new story as much as it is a continuation," Perusco added about the new season as a whole.
On Telltale's official blog, the studio detailed the game further explaining how Season 3 with its new playable character will be more welcoming for new players to the series. "Players completely new to the Telltale series will be able to jump right in without feeling lost at all, and those familiar with previous seasons will perhaps find some even deeper meaning, as we'll be working to ensure save file decisions will carry over from the last two games if you've played them in the past," they noted.
The Walking Dead Season 3 is set to premiere on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC this fall.
