LOS ANGELES, June 9 (UPI) -- Yolanda Hadid is releasing a book about her years-long struggle with chronic Lyme disease.

The 52-year-old reality star will share her experience in Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease, which is scheduled for release in February 2017. Hadid has been vocal about her condition since her diagnosis in 2012.

"I am determined to find a cure affordable for all," the star told People. "And it has been my dream to write a book to share all the treatments, knowledge and spiritual growth I have acquired these past five years."

"By sharing my journey in this book, I hope to offer a voice and encouragement to people who are ill and find themselves struggling while uncovering the mystery of chronic disease," she added.

Believe Me will include "never-before-revealed intimate details" about Hadid's struggle and the strain it put on her personal life. Two of the star's three children, daughter Bella and son Anwar, are also diagnosed with the condition.

"My children [are] what kept me alive," she said on The Dr. Oz Show in March. "They're the the ones that kept me fighting and wanting to live. There were many days that I really didn't want to live anymore. But when you look at your children, it's not a choice.

Hadid split from husband David Foster in December, later admitting her illness took a toll on their marriage. She has faced much skepticism from the public and her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars about her condition.
