NEW YORK, June 3 (UPI) -- Oprah is reaching out to fellow Weight Watchers members and said Friday sharing the ride with friends and family makes the program work that much better.

"I'm excited that other people are bringing in their friends and family members because it's been my philosophy forever that life is better when you share it," she said on a Good Morning America "Hot List" segment Friday.

After losing 30 pounds, Oprah, who will be in the upcoming mega-church drama Greenleaf and in The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, credits her partner Stedman Graham with helping her to keep her weight loss journey going.

"We do hold each other accountable," she said on a conference call to Weight Watchers members, which aired on the GMA segment.

Weight Watchers is launching its new "Better Together" campaign in which it is encouraging members to bring family members and friends on board, GMA reported.

As part of that campaign, Oprah hopped on the phone with six fellow points counters to swap tips on weight loss.

Oprah posted a photo on Instagram earlier this year, cozied up with her beau of three decades. The post showed Winfrey's slimmed-down figure after her nearly 30-pound weight loss. The television personality became a spokesperson for Weight Watchers last year and revealed in a promotional video in January she had lost 26 pounds.

She and Graham have been together since 1986, but largely keep their relationship out of the spotlight. The couple were engaged in 1992 but never wed, and Winfrey later said in an interview she doesn't believe she'll ever marry.

"I thought about it again at Tina Turner's wedding," she said in 2013. "Because Tina was like, 'Oprah, you need to do this. You need to do it.' And I was just thinking, 'Well, okay, would things really be different?' And no, I don't think so."
