'Star Trek Beyond': Three new character posters revealed

WASHINGTON, May 31 (UPI) -- Paramount released the next three character posters from Star Trek Beyond showing Zoe Saldana, John Cho and Simon Pegg as Uhura, Sulu and Scotty respectively.

Released on Facebook early this week, the new posters follow the same theme as the previously released images of Anton Yelchin as Chekov, Zachary Quinto as Spock and Sofia Boutella as Jayla, among others.

The new posters also come soon after the release of the upcoming film's second official trailer, which premiered last week.

The film, out July 22, is directed by Fast and the Furious Justin Lin and sees a new voyage of the U.S.S. Enterprise during the 50th Anniversary of the beloved franchise. Beyond stars Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, Karl Urban as Bones and Idris Elba as villain Krall.
