STAMFORD, Conn., May 23 (UPI) -- Adam Rose has officially parted ways with the WWE after he requested a release from the company.

"WWE has granted Adam Rose's request to be released, as of today, May 23, 2016. WWE wishes Rose the best in all his future endeavors," WWE said in a statement Monday.

Rose was already suspended from WWE for 60 days starting in April after violating the entertainment giant's talent wellness policy for a second time. Rose, real name Raymond Leppan, spoke out against the suspension and maintained his innocence on Twitter stating that he was only taking prescribed medication.

"Here is the doctors note once again! I did nothing but take the prescribed medication. #WWE knew about it for a year," he wrote in May alongside a photo of a doctor's note. "I am absolutely ok with whatever the #WWE decides. All I care about is looking after my family... as I said before... wrestling or not," he continued.

Then on May 11, Rose was arrested in Hillsborough County, Florida charged with battery domestic violence and tampering with a witness. Being held without bond, Rose then reportedly asked for his release from the WWE.

Coming up through the company's NXT brand, Rose debuted on Raw in 2014 as a party-going, Exotic Express ringleader who would use a group of colorful dancers to aid in his matches. Most recently, Rose was a part of The Social Outcasts stable alongside Superstars Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel and Heath Slater.

Rose is the latest Superstar released by the WWE following Damien Sandow, King Barrett, Santino Marella, Cameron, Hornswoggle, Alex Riley, El Torito, the Brooklyn Brawler and Cody Rhodes who also requested a release.
