BURBANK, Calif., May 19 (UPI) -- Louis C.K. was crowned a Jeopardy! champion Wednesday earning $50,000 for a charity of his choosing.

The comedian bested CNN anchor Kate Bolduan and Washington Post journalist Jonathan Capehart during Power Player Week on the long-running quiz show.

The Louie star will donate his winnings to the Fistula Foundation, a charity that helps women suffering from obstetric fistula, an abnormal hole most often caused by prolonged labor that can form between the vagina and rectum or bladder that leaves patients incontinent.

"He was interested in a women's issue, particularly one where women are underserved," said Fistula Foundation CEO Kate Grant to USA Today of why C.K. partnered up with the charity.

"Fistula patients, they're modern day lepers," she contined. "Too often in places, women don't get Depend pads or even hot showers or multiple changes of clothes, and end up way too often they become outcasts in rural areas."

During Jeopardy!, host Alex Trebek praised C.K. for helping a lesser known cause. "That's not a well-known charity," Trebek mentioned. "Good for you."

"That's why I'm here," C.K. replied.
