"Josephine Kate Gavigan May 2, 2016," she captioned the picture. "I am endlessly grateful for her safe arrival and my heart is so full of love that it threatens to burst..."

"Welcome to our newest & sweetest little one: Josephine Kate Gavigan, born May 2, 2016. Our hearts are bursting in so many ways," Gavigan added on his own account.

Capshaw and Gavigan, who co-founded The Honest Company with Jessica Alba, married in 2004. The couple are already parents to 8-year-old son Luke, 5-year-old daughter Eve and 3-year-old daughter Poppy.

"I love what I do and I think it shows. As my kids get older, they can see me as a mom who loves working," the actress previously told Good Housekeeping. "The [toughest thing is] the time you spend away. Missing whatever is important at the time and not being able to control it."
