WASHINGTON, May 6 (UPI) -- Brody Jenner and longtime girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter are engaged, the couple have announced on social media. Jenner took to Instagram to divulge their new relationship status, writing he and Carter became engaged May 4th while on vacation in Nihiwatu.

"I couldn't be more in love with this woman and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her," the son of Caitlyn Jenner wrote.
"This trip has been memorable for many reasons," Carter wrote on her own Instagram. "Happiest girl in the world!!!!"
The social media photos see a bikini-clad Carter kissing her fiance on the cheek while showing off her new engagement ring.
Jenner has been dating Carter since 2014 despite his allegedly strained relationship with his famous half-sister Kim Kardashian and the rest of her related famous reality television stars.
In an interview discussing the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Brody Jenner said people often misunderstand "that we live two completely separate lives. And everybody ties us in together as the Kardashians and the Jenners. I mean, [Kris and Caitlyn] got a divorce, so they're not even technically my family anymore."
