Chrissy Teigen faces backlash for first post-baby outing

LOS ANGELES, April 25 (UPI) -- Chrissy Teigen is giving fans a glimpse into the intense scrutiny she faces as celebrity parent.

The 30-year-old model shared screenshots of critical social media comments after coming under heavy fire for leaving daughter Luna at home to go out to dinner with husband John Legend.

Teigen and Legend welcomed Luna on April 14 and were spotted at The Nice Guy restaurant Saturday. Social media users attacked the model for the outing, with many calling Teigen an uninterested mother.

"She's hitting the streets already????? Damn these so called celebrities want to show off so bad after giving birth. Spend time bonding with your baby and not let the nanny or babysitter raise them!" one person wrote.

"Maybe it's just rich people but I had two children, I had them at a young age also. I don't think I let anyone watch my child without me til a month or two. I just wanted to hold and stare [at] my children when they were born," another added.

Teigen called out her critics with the post on Twitter, writing, "I went to dinner. People are [expletive]. Good morning!" She also responded directly to one user, saying, "Go [expletive] yourself," in a since-deleted tweet.

Teigen previously hit back at critics while still pregnant with Luna. She tweeted, "If you wanna give me unsolicited baby advice on the damn cereal I eat/what I wear u better unlock your profile so I can see your perfection," after facing criticism for eating Fruity Pebbles.

Sources recently told E! News Teigen and Legend are "natural parents" who "can't stop gushing over Luna." The couple gave fans a first glimpse of their daughter's face in new Instagram posts last week.
