LONDON, April 22 (UPI) -- Adele Adkins has been named the United Kingdom's richest female musician in the nation's long history.

London-based outlet, the Sunday Times, has determined the "Hello" singer's $122 million net worth places her on the list of the top 50 music millionaires in the U.K. and Ireland, according to a BBC report.

The only other female musician above her on the list is Irish songstress Enya, at $131 million. Singer Kylie Minogue is also on the list this year, at No. 42, with an estimated $78.8 million fortune. There are only three women on the top 50 list.

At 27-years-old, Adele also maintains the top spot on the publication's Young Music Rich List. Much of Adele's fortune was helped by the release of her first studio album in four years, 25, last November.

The album quickly became the best-selling album of 2015.

"Adele has that rare ability to stand out and an authenticity that enables her music to connect with fans of all ages and backgrounds," British Phonographic Industry spokesman Gennaro Castaldo, told CNN.

"She's a global icon, but so down to earth with it that people can easily almost imagine her as a friend -- so they can related to her and what she has to say through her lyrics."
