LOS ANGELES, April 19 (UPI) -- Model Nyle DiMarco received the first perfect 10 score of Season 22 of Dancing With The Stars during switch-up week.
The contestant performed a seamless Viennese waltz opposite professional dancer Sharna Burgess for the episode. The routine brought not only himself, but judge Carrie Ann Inaba to tears.
"That was like a total eclipse. It doesn't turn up often, but when it does, it's fantastic," Goodman said after the emotional performance.
Explaining his own tears, DiMarco responded to judges saying he felt very connected to the routine. "Thinking about how I was going to bring the emotion into it, I think we connected in this dance. There's so much connection, that's probably why I cried," he shared.
No one on Dancing With The Stars was eliminated Monday due to the switch-up, so this week's scores will combine with last week's. Eliminations return next week.
