Prince William and Kate Middleton re-create Princess Diana's iconic Taj Mahal photo

MUMBAI, April 16 (UPI) -- Kensington Palace tweeted several photos Saturday of Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton as they wrapped up their week-long visit to India.

"TRH want to say thank you to the people of India for their hospitality and warmth," the palace tweeted.

"The tour has been a huge success in deepening the UK relationship with the people of India," read another post.

Among the many beautiful images of the couple that the British palace released was one showing the couple sitting together on the same bench in front of the Taj Mahal where William's mother, the late Princess Diana, was famously photographed alone in 1992.
