Lindsay Lohan not engaged, says rep

NEW YORK, April 12 (UPI) -- American actress Lindsay Lohan is not engaged to marry Egor Tarabasov, despite media reports claiming the Russian real-estate agent proposed to her during the weekend.

The starlet's publicist told the New York Post the story is "not true and holds no merit."

Lohan, 29, and Tarabasov, 22, have been dating only about five months, but Lohan's mother told the newspaper's Page Six column in March she already approved of Lindsay's latest beau.

"He's just a sweetheart," Dina Lohan said. "He's an only child and I just FaceTimed with them and his mom a few days ago. He's cool and he's very mature for his age. He's older than his years. Being an only child and traveling the world educates you in other ways. He's not about celebrity or anything, which is really important."

Lohan's films include Mean Girls, Freaky Friday and The Parent Trap.
