LOS ANGELES, March 31 (UPI) -- Lamar Odom attended his first NBA game since his sudden hospitalization late last year per Kobe Bryant's invitation.

The former Lakers player sat courtside Wednesday night to watch the L.A. team play the Miami Heat, according to reports. The troubled celebrity was seen smiling as he watched the game.

Odom experienced several strokes and kidney failure in October, when he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. He spent several months in the hospital and is reportedly still recovering from the ailments.

"It's a miracle, honestly," Odom's former Lakers teammate Bryant told ESPN. "In Vegas, he was [on death's doorstep]. To see him walking around now, like nothing happened. It's really a miracle. It's beyond good to see him."

ESPN host Rachel Nichols tweeted a photo of Odom strolling through Los Angeles' Staples Center Wednesday, adding the basketball star and husband to Khloe Kardashian is "feeling good."

Odom's attendance to the game, from which the Lakers emerged victorious after overtime with a 102-100 score, comes shortly after TMZ spotted the player at a pub over the weekend. According to reports, Odom is still advised to stay away from alcohol.
