NEW YORK, March 30 (UPI) -- Sean Hayes will play God in a limited, 14-week engagement of the stage comedy An Act of God at Broadway's Booth Theatre, beginning May 28.
David Javerbaum's play returns to New York after kicking off the 2015-16 Broadway season in a sold-out, critically acclaimed run starring Jim Parsons. A second successful series of shows in Los Angeles featured Hayes.

Additional casting will be announced soon, producers said Wednesday.
Joe Mantello is directing the show.
Best known for his work in the TV sitcom Will & Grace, Hayes' New York stage credits include Promises, Promises and Damn Yankees.
