LOS ANGELES, March 30 (UPI) -- Halle Berry has officially joined Instagram and Twitter, adding a from-behind photo of herself wandering a forest while topless. The Oscar-winning actress signed on to her new accounts Tuesday, sharing the image alongside an optimistic message about her intentions on social media.

"Hi everyone. Welcome! Today is a very exciting day for me," the 49-year-old celebrity wrote. "I'm looking forward to sharing our world through images that reflect my emotions and perceptions. I am in awe of photography and its ability to capture and reflect this extraordinary world that we live in. I'm excited to share with you my love of nature, the arts, fashion and much more in the hopes that the images will inspire, promote conversation and bring you joy."
In less than 24 hours, Berry has already garnered 27,900 followers on Twitter and 145,000 followers on Instagram. She has also done some following herself, tapping into feeds from Free People, Domino magazine, Versace and Bruno Mars.
Berry's latest social media moves come soon after the actress joined Pinterest, subsequently adding pins of her inspirations and healthy food.
