NEW YORK, March 16 (UPI) -- Patina Miller and Andrew Rannells are to announce the nominations for the 2016 Tony Awards recognizing excellence in Broadway theater on May 3.

The webcast will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET at TonyAwards.com.

"Each spring the entire Broadway community gets ready for the biggest announcement of the year: which shows and artists will receive nominations for the American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards," the Tonys website said Wednesday.

"This year is no exception. The honor of revealing the nominee names for 2016 will go to two Broadway favorites, past Tony Award-winner Patina Miller and past Tony-nominee and Grammy Award-winner Andrew Rannells."

Miller, a current cast member of CBS' Madam Secretary, headlined the recent Broadway revival of Pippin.

Rannells, who can be seen on HBO's Girls, starred in The Book of Mormon.

James Corden will host the 70th annual Tony Awards ceremony June 12. The gala will be broadcast on CBS live from the Beacon Theatre in New York City.
