LONDON, March 16 (UPI) -- Adele brought a couple onstage during her six-night residency in London minutes after they became engaged.

The British singer was performing her song "Make You Feel My Love" Tuesday night when she noticed a commotion in the stands.

"I thought there was a fight at first!" she told the crowd as the duo came up to the stage, according to a fan video uploaded to YouTube. "I saw all of the camera-phone lights at first and then I saw arms went up and I saw sweet kissing."

The couple in question had been together for over 12 years before getting engaged, the bride-to-be said into the microphone offered by Adele. They have a child together named Alfred.

"How did you hear him with me wailing away?" the singer asked, learning "Make You Feel My Love" was their song.

"That was the most beautiful thing I've witnessed at one of my shows," Adele said after the spectacle.

The romance-fueled interruption comes weeks after the "Hello" singer stopped a show in order to pressure a fan into accepting his girlfriend's proposal on Feb. 29.
