LOS ANGELES, March 11 (UPI) -- Amazon will be the home of the live-action revival of The Tick comedy series.

The company and streaming service ordered a pilot for the reboot, based off of Ben Edlund's comic book character.

Edlund will act as executive producer of the series alongside that of the 1994 animated series and 2001 live-action comedy, Barry Josephson, Deadline reports.

Original Tick live-action actor, Patrick Warburton, will not be returning to his role, but may also serve as executive producer. Vinyl's Griffin Newman and House of Lies actress Valorie Curry will play Arthur Everest and Dot Everest in the pilot.

No director has been slated for The Tick yet, but Wally Pfister is reportedly in talks to take on the project, produced by Sony Pictures TV.
