LOS ANGELES, March 7 (UPI) -- Rob Kardashian and model Blac Chyna took to social media Sunday to clarify their relationship status following rumors of a split.

"Chy and I are not broken up we just feel like it would be a lot healthier for our relationship if we kept a lot more to ourselves," Kardashian wrote on Instagram alongside a close-up photo of the couple.

"It's impossible to have a positive relationship with so much negativity from the media and outsiders and we would appreciate it if everyone respects that," he continued before signing off with the signature "ChyRo."

The statement comes days after Kardashian deleted all of his previous Instagram posts around the same time Chyna, real name Angela White, posted and deleted a photo that indicated she was single again.

"When you just get out of a relationship and your Hoe friend welcomes you back into the World of Hoe," the now deleted post read. Despite the cryptic messages and deletions, the duo had still been following her each on the photo sharing app.

Kardashian and Chyna have been linked together since January after the former reality-star was hospitalized and diagnosed with diabetes a month earlier. Chyna was once engaged to Kylie Jenner's current boyfriend, rapper Tyga, and is the mother of his son, King.
