BURBANK, Calif., March 7 (UPI) -- Blockbuster scribe J.K. Rowling has penned four installments of "Magic in North America" to introduce audiences to a new place and time in her wizarding world.

The articles will be posted on pottermore.com over four consecutive days, beginning Tuesday at 9 a.m. EST.

The pieces "will enlighten readers about a previously unexplored corner of the wizarding world: North American witches and wizards, their history and their magic," Warner Bros said in a press release.

A 100-second video released Monday serves as a prologue to Rowling's new work.

The video and the writing "provide context and backstory for the feature film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," which is set for release Nov. 18.

The movie is a prequel to the eight hit Harry Potter fantasy films, which were based on Rowling's bestselling books.

Rowling makes her screenwriting debut with the script for Beasts, starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Ron Perlman, Carmen Ejogo, Jenn Murray, Faith Wood-Blagrove and Colin Farrell.
