LOS ANGELES, March 3 (UPI) -- Ginger Zee and Mischa Barton will reportedly compete on Dancing with the Stars Season 22.
News outlets reported the 35-year-old Good Morning America weather anchor and 30-year-old actress will appear on the ABC reality competition after Jodie Sweetin was confirmed as the first contestant Wednesday.
Zee will be partnered with professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, while Barton will team with Artem Chigvintsev, according to Entertainment Tonight. Sweetin will dance with Keo Motsepe, and Nyle DiMarco and Kim Fields are also rumored as contestants.
Dancing with the Stars will announce a full list of contestants March 8 on Good Morning America before returning for a 22nd season March 21. Six-time champion Derek Hough will not return as a pro, and his sister, Julianne Hough, is out as a judge.
"Derek will always love Dancing with the Stars and the friends he's made through the show," a source told Us Weekly after the news broke. "And the door isn't closed there. He'll always be a part of the family."
Zee welcomed her first child, son Adrian Benjamin Colonomos, with husband Ben Aaron in December and is on maternity leave from GMA. The weather anchor revealed she will return to the ABC morning show March 14 in a tweet Thursday.
Barton is best known for playing Marissa Cooper on The O.C. and has since appeared on The Beautiful Life: TBL and Law & Order: SVU. She will next star in the drama Deserted with Jackson Davis.
