'Bachelorette' star Emily Maynard expecting third child

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 1 (UPI) -- Bachelorette star Emily Maynard will soon be a mom-of-three.

The 30-year-old Season 8 star is pregnant with her second child by husband Tyler Johnson and expects the baby to be born at the end of the summer.

Maynard and Johnson are already parents to 7-month-old son Jennings, whom they welcomed in July. The Bachelorette is also mom to 10-year-old daughter Ricki with her late fiancé, Ricky Hendrick.

"Well... I'm pregnant. Again. And before you even say anything, yes, I realize I just had Jennings like, 2 seconds ago," the star wrote on her website. "I guess I should've read that part in the baby handbook that says you're super fertile after giving birth, huh?"

"With all that said, I truly couldn't be more excited and I said about two weeks after Jennings was born that I couldn't wait to have another," she said. "Some of my closest friends have had a really hard time getting pregnant and my heart breaks for them, so I'm just so grateful for this blessing."

Maynard also shared the news Tuesday on Good Morning America while promoting her book, I Said Yes. She and Johnson met in church and married in 2014.

"I am pregnant again," the star confirmed. "We didn't think it would happen so quickly, but we're so grateful and just feel so blessed and excited."

Maynard got engaged to Brad Womack on The Bachelor Season 15 in 2011 but split from him three months after the finale. She got engaged to Jef Holm on The Bachelorette Season 8 the next year, but split from him shortly after.
