ANAHEIM, Calif., Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters, the first trackless ride by Disney in the United States, will open March 7 at Disney California Adventure.

The attraction will replace Luigi's Flying Tires in the Cars Land area of the park with the debut of a whole family of new Italian cars that Disney says are unique with their "own high-spirited" personalities and signature moves.

The individual cars will act as riders' vehicles as they "dance" to traditional Italian music in perfect formation.

The ride is similar to Aquatopia Tokyo's DisneySea ride, which also uses trackless technology to entertain guests with seemingly random movements, but is the first of its kind in a theme park in the United States.

The ride will reportedly play five different songs -- which result in five different formations -- according to Slash Film. With every car presenting its own special choreography, each ride is said to be different.
