WASHINGTON, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Both Phil Collins and his third ex-wife, Orianne Cevey, have confirmed the rekindling of their longtime romance.

Speaking with Swiss newspaper SonntagsBlick, Cevey, 43, said she has resumed calling Collins her husband and the two intend to remarry after their $46 million divorce in 2008. They have two sons together -- Nicholas, 14, and Matthew, 11.

"We are so close that it actually makes no difference whether we are married," she said. "But we are determined to get married one day a second time."

The confirmation comes about a month after Collins himself revealed to Billboard he was dating his ex after moving to Miami to be closer to his family. "I'm actually back with my third wife," he said.

"I haven't really talked about it. We've been together for a while, and nobody's noticed."

During her interview, in which Cevey also talked about her failed cervical surgery which left her partially paralyzed, she said "love was never completely gone," between herself and Collins.

"We were always very close, because of the children. But last year, I realized he is indeed the man of my life."
