LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Amanda Bynes showed off her new, short haircut Tuesday on Twitter.
The 29-year-old actress returned to the social media site to share a photo of her look, writing, "Hi everyone! I got a haircut! What do you think?"
Bynes had long, blonde locks down to her waist when she last posted in December. The star's tresses now graze her shoulders and appear to be a lighter shade of blonde.
The former Nickelodeon star returned to classes at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in October and was spotted on a walk this month. Sources told E! News the actress appears to be doing well after being placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold in 2014.
"She keeps to herself, but she seems really healthy and focused on her schooling," an insider said. "She seems like she's in a much better place and she looks great."
"No one really treats her any differently because she's Amanda Bynes," the source added. "You can tell she really just wants to be a normal student. Everyone at FIDM is really chill and respects her and her space."
Bynes came to fame as a child star on Nickelodeon series All That and The Amanda Show. She later appeared in the movies She's the Man and Hairspray, but has since turned her focus from acting to fashion design.
